Luke has been in business for
over 30 years and started his apprenticeship under his father in the
early 70’s. Luke Balogh Senior was a qualified and accomplished
master mechanic and doctor of motors who tirelessly trained his son
in the art of engine building and imparted the gift of old country
craftsmanship.
Luke’s interest in custom built
hot rods (preferably fast ones) started as a twelve year old and it
was this desire to build custom hot rods that led Luke to learn the
craftsman's skills of welding and fabricating. In the early 80’s, Luke’s
passion led him to learn how to work as a machinist to make the
components that he desired but could not find or afford. Since then,
Luke’s creative and innovative ideas have continued to flourish and
Luke’s reputation and career have been built on designing,
engineering and manufacturing his own custom products. Designing
proto-types for his clients with special interests has pushed Luke
to forefront in his field. An extensive body of work on various cars
and the racing achievements have led to the wealth of knowledge on
components made by “Luke's Custom Machine & Design”.
